can a monk or ninja use a bracer of armor (since the bracer give armor bonus) without losing is AC bonus?

yes.

a monk is prohibited from wearing armor, not from benifiting from an armor bonus. they also keep thier AC bonus while the recepient of mage armor spells too.

Or anything else that doesn't appear on the armor list in the PHB basically. You just can't wear armor you can wear all the magic items you have room for that provide an AC bonus.

You can also benefit from items that give shield bonus to AC liike that one ring in DMG.

That's what most Monks do if they don't prefer those slots for other items.
