Ok, so I remember reading in one of the books, I Forget which, that you can make bracers of items with the special abilities (I.e. Fortification, Twilight, etc.) so you could have, say, +2 Twilight Bracers of ARmor for the price of +3 bracers of armor.

But I can't for the life of me find it again! Am I nuts, ro does someone else know where it is?

If I'm not mistaken, you can have a total of +13 worth of enhancement bonuses/special abilities on a set of Bracers of Armor, with a maximum of +8 going towards AC as an armor bonus and a maximium of +5 going towards special abilities.

In addition to the armor special abilities that you can have, you can also add Dexterity and Strength enhancement bonuses to Bracers of Armor with no 1.5X price multiplier for secondary properties; see Magic Item Compendium pages 233-234.

I disagree with that. There is nothing n MiC that has that in the rules.

On page 234 is the table that lists all abilities that can be added with no multiple-power surcharge. Dexterity enhancements can be added to items that go on the arms, hands and feet. Strength enhancements can go on items for the arms, hands and waist.

Items that go on the arms include armbands, bracelets and bracers.

Therefore the MIC does say that Dexterity and Strength enhancements can go on the Bracers of Armour with no surcharge.

Yes but not in addition to the AC that the the bracers would give. You would need to spend the x1.5 cost of the lesser.

Thanks everyone :)On page 234 it explicitly says that some common effects do not incur the +50% surcharge. Adding a +2 Enhancement bonus to Dexterity to (say) Bracers (or other arm-slot items) costs 4,000gp no matter how many other powers are on the item.

An Armour bonus to AC is another power you can add without a surcharge to relevant bodyslot items (such as, for example, bracers)
