Bracers of Hurling??? [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-30-05, 09:55 PM IMC the Ranger has taken the Throw Anything feat and I want to reward his off kilter style by making Bracers of Hurling in the same vein as Bracers of Archery. +1 competence to Hit for lesser and +2 to hit/+1 dmg for greater. What about proficiencies? I'm not sure that giving these would really be helpful.

How much are these worth? 5,000 and 25,000gp like the Bracers of Archery or less? And what's the correct formula?

12-01-05, 10:35 AM For proficiency, I would have different versions.
One for Daggers, clubs, light hammers.
Another for: shortspears, spears, tridents, and javelins
A third for throwing axes, darts, shuriken, and nets.

I would price them identical to the Bracers of Archery.

There is no formula, it is too complex an item.

12-01-05, 03:46 PM Hmmm... I guess these bracers are more of a boon for a player that doesn't already have many of those proficiencies... But I'm guessing that the compentence bonuses will still work for weapons he can hurl due to Throw anything... like his bastard swords???
