I'm looking for information on a magic item a friend told me about. They are a set of bracers that allow you to hold up to 4 wands at once, and use them as you wish. He said they might be in a Dragon magazine, but he's not sure which one.

Can anyone provide me with their stats? How they work, price, cost to create and such?

Hmmm, I vaguely remember this one. But I think it was three wands, it sucked up one charge to install it, and it may be from 3.0 Tome and Blood???

3.0 Dragon magazine, issue 291

holds 3 wands

Uses up a charge to load the wand

wands are considered always drawn.

Cost a LOT of cash (like over 50k)

I came up with a non-magical version of this same idea. Basically, it was a leather bracer cover (that could be worn even without bracers,) that had straps on it for holding wands. All you had to do was put your other hand on the wand you wanted and activate as normal. It didn't even take a charge.

Eberron has one for the warforged race, it is cheap but only holds one want. No cammand word, just point

they have a prosthetic arm in Torn Asunder that holds 4 wands. Its pretty cool. (they hint to an uber arm that can use all 4 at the same time too!)

A mage Wandslinger could be an interesting concept. Keep a couple strapped to your bracers, and strap some more on your belt for a quick reach. Add in the Quick Draw feat and you're good to go!

This begs the question, where do fellow mages keep their wands. My guy keeps his stashed "up his sleeve" but does anyone have anything unique? Now that I think of it, it might be fun to have a female wizard keep two wands in her hair to keep her bun together. That would keep them well at hand at all times.
