I didn't find it in A&EG.

Can you clarify? If it's a type of bracer, it's not a type of armour. If it gives an unnamed bonus to armour, it would stack with anything eccept other Dastana's.

12-11-05, 03:25 PM Oriental Adventures had rules for piecemeal armor to replicate what the Japanese used to wear. Basically, all the pieces together are considered your armor; the base armor bonus from each piece stacks, enhancement bonuses from each piece do not (take the best one). So you could wear a +3 ashigaru, or a masterwork ashigaru and a +2 dastana, and get the same armor bonus. It's interesting, but it can needlessly complicate things.

Tyler Do'Urden, I am wondering if the weight listing of Bracers of Armor or Bracers of Archery are for each bracer, as it seems to be too light at 1/2 lb for each bracer.

It would seem much more appropriate at 1 lb for each bracer.

12-13-05, 01:46 AM bracers can be anything from simple wide bracelets to large elaborate pieces of armor.

I doubt a huge amount of effort went into choosing a weight for DMG bracers, they probably picked a nice smallish round number.

There's really no basis to think that the weight is for anything but the pair, they are nothing without each other, so there's no reason to consider them individually in that context.
