| Andi104-30-06, 11:35 AM | question: What strengh DC would an attack to break your opponents neck? |
| Majick04-30-06, 11:41 AM | yeah, its kinda hard to say, cause thats like a coup de grace right there... you know, instant death :P So... well i don't know actually... maybe a strength check after you have grappled and pinned an opponent... maybe like 15 + 1 for each aditional hit die? hard to say... maybe the same as true names kinda thing but with hit die so its: 15 +2 per hit-die? dunno mate, sorry :P |
| Fanged Fremont04-30-06, 11:55 AM | Two ways to go about it. Gain a death attack by some means like Assassin, or become a Reaping Mauler. A straight up strength check to snap someone's neck would mean that any character could have what those two prestige classes were designed around without having to take any feats or class levels. All would fear my half dragon half ogre barbarian warhulk and his raging strength score of 62. |

All would fear my half dragon half ogre barbarian warhulk and his raging strength score of 54. Reaping Mauler would have to be the best fit. I mean, I know I couldn't snap someone's neck without some training or something. I could probably make it hurt a little... |
| Planar Wanderer04-30-06, 01:25 PM | I'm inclined to say its just a flavour description of an unarmed CdeG for the balance reasons covered above |
| ClementWillowbreaker04-30-06, 05:17 PM | I'm inclined to agree with it as an unarmed CdG, or perhaps an unarmed sneak attack that drops the foe. |
