06-25-07, 08:22 AM Barred and Iron Reinforced Wooden Door, 1ft thick, AC 2, hardness 5, hp 150, break DC 37(barred). The doors measure 90 square feet. They guard an enterance to the cave, no climbing over. No diplomacy with the guard behind, because there is none.

An easy question, just looking for versatility:
What are the ways to get beyond these doors, at lvl 5?

Destoy the door with a pick.
If you admit the use of a normal weapon, a fighter with power attack will destroy it is few rounds.
The lock DC?

06-25-07, 09:46 AM Get the ranger/druid/outdoorsy person to go harvest the queen from a termite colony. Proudly present her royalty with her new home. Sit back and wait....wait some more.....still a little bit more....and finally break through the damaged portion.

06-25-07, 09:53 AM drill a small hole sloping downwards and pour acid or alchemists fire down it. When it finally burns all the way through,take a small steel tube with string attacked, thread it through, and tug on it, and you got yourself an open door!

forget the door- what about the frame and the surrounding walls?? go around it :)

use the KNOCK spell. a scroll would cost 150 gp.

go find and capture a rust monster.

06-25-07, 10:08 AM A fighter or a barbarian with power attack can get through it in a minute or two. It'll be loud, and everyone on the other side will know you're breaking in through the door, but it'll remove the door from the equation.

Since the doors are 90 square feet, the caster lvl must be 9th lvl minimum.
