| xTimx01-12-07, 05:25 PM | can someone please tell me how to break down doors, locks etc. when they have a break DC, HP, hardiness and such. when you hit an object does the hardness come into play first then what ever is left over from dmg points get subtracted from the hp of the object? is this correct? |
| strenoth01-12-07, 06:02 PM | you do either damag,e or break DC if going for a Break DC, hardness isn't part of the equation. If you make the DC, it's broken. If youa re hitting something, you subtract hardess from the damage done |
| xTimx01-12-07, 10:43 PM | ok how do you determine the DC then what do you compare it to?! |
| Shadowfax701-12-07, 10:57 PM | The Break DC is the DC of the Strength check required to break the object. when you hit an object does the hardness come into play first then what ever is left over from dmg points get subtracted from the hp of the object? is this correct?Correct. |
| strenoth01-13-07, 04:46 AM | there's a list of Break DC under examples of Strength Checks, and if you are talking about, say, a door, the DMG has examples of doors and locks and the break DCs. |
