Does this mean you can use a buckler and a two-handed weapon and gain the +1 Shield Bonus if you take -1 to hit?

01-14-08, 12:10 PM If you are wielding a two-handed weapon, you are "wielding a weapon in your off-hand" and therefore cannot benefit from the Shield bonus to AC granted by the buckler. You still take a -1 penalty to hit, because you are still wearing the buckler.

This is why Improved Buckler Defense was written.

It means if you have a buckler strapped to your off-hand and use said off-hand to wield a weapon, you take the -1 to hit. If you attack or in some other way "use" the weapon you are wielding in your off hand in that round you do not get the shield bonus, however you still take the penalty.
