I was wondering...

Since the Bashing ability makes a shield count as a +1 weapon; could you add weapon abilities to it after adding Bashing? Like having a +1 Bashing Returning Shield or a +1 Bashing Thundering Shield?

Yes. You could also put armor spikes on it and enchant them.

Not quite.

The bashing ability gives the weapon an effective +1 enhancement bonus, but it's not the same as being enchanted as a weapon. In order to enchant a shield(or spiked shield) the shield must be a masterwork weapon first(meaning paying an additional +300gp).

Even then, like the bonus from a Magic Weapon spell, the enhancment bonus from Bashing would not count towards the "Weapon" enhancement to allow enchanting the shield. You'll have to enchanted it from scratch(starting with a +1 bonus and building from there). This enhancement will overlap(not stack) with the bonus from the Bashing enchantment.
