09-29-05, 04:11 PM How do you or your DM play a bullrush movement?

Would a PC move with the character after the initial 5' of movement in the event that the opponent is moved farther?

Scenario: Medium human bullrushes another Medium human. The bullrushing human starts 10' away, moving a total of 15' into the defending human's square (AOO missed). Attacking human rolls total 23 and the defending human rolled 8. This allows the attacking human to push the defending human an additional 15'.

Must the attacking human stay adjacent to the defending human after the bull rush is complete (moving a total of 30')? Or can the attacking human stay in the square where the bullrush was started and the defender is knocked back an additional 15'?

Start of Scenario: [A] [_] [_] [D] [_] [_] [_] [_]

End Result #1: [_] [_] [_] [A] [_] [_] [_] [D]
-or-
End Result #2: [_] [_] [_] [_] [_] [_] [A] [D]

If you wish to move with the defender, you can push him back an additional 5 feet for each 5 points by which your check result is greater than the defender’s check result.

09-29-05, 04:37 PM I understand the rule, but when you "push the opponent back...", does the mean that you have to move with him, or you're giving one heck of a shove and he stumbles back? In the above, which result is required?

In the above, which result is required? You can only push him further back if you wish to move with him. It's poorly worded.
