Buying animals and other "monsters" [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-28-06, 11:49 PM I am playing a Pixie Binder that has a hobby of finding and buying odd things, I am wondering if there are set rules on buying animals and monsters.

I was thinking there was some base cost per hitdie or something like that but I am unable to find where I might be getting that from.

if anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.

07-28-06, 11:55 PM Arms and Equipment Guide has all the stats and stuff you need for this sort of endevor.

That said, I hope you like making Handle Animal checks.

07-29-06, 12:00 AM I looked in there but I did not see much past the guard animals and mounts.

I am looking for something more over all for stuff like buying an Ooze or tained Imp or something.

but then again I might have just missed it.

07-29-06, 03:37 AM Most monsters would fall into the "slavery" category, so the BoVD might have something for that.
