Silimaure 01-11-05, 03:28 AM	Yes, since the studs in the studded leather make it part metal. Look in the druid's armor and weapon's profiencies, in 3.0 there was a small list of examples, but not sure with 3.5
Watchman 01-11-05, 06:34 AM	Realistically, it would be simplicity itself to reinforce leather armor with pieces of suitably hard woods, bone scales, extra layers of hardened leather, or something similarly nonmetallic, and get something that as far as the D&D rules are concerned should perform exactly like Studded Leather. This was, indeed, a very popular way for poor & badly armed troops to improve the debatable protective value of their leather armors back in the day. But since when has D&D made such allowances to credibility ? :D

Krynus Ogrebane 01-11-05, 10:47 AM	By the RAW, yes it violates his oaths. Nicest way around it is to have the studs made of wood and enchant them with the spell Ironwood.
Patrick Draken-Korin 01-11-05, 11:49 AM	i knew someone playing a druid wearing leather armor studded with pearls and coral (she was an aquatic-elf) and so the armor's cost was increased a bit for the cost of the pearls (same statistics though).
