Just want to know can a fighter take Craft magic armor and arms, and craft say +3 plate as long as he doesnt try to add any other enchantments to it?

Would just like to know if its possible or must u be a caster only class.

Thanks

Or u can use a house rule that dwarves with high armorsmith ranks, a pretty nice background and a very special forge could create magical armors...

(Races of Stone, I think)or something similar that allows Craft Magic Arms and Armour. Otherwise nope, CL 5 only. But having said that, it never hurts to ask your GM for a house rule.

The DMG clear stats on page 217 Caster level times 3 for each enchantment bonus, so as a DM I would rule that you needed caster levels to create the item.

You normally need the Cater Level 5 for the Craft feat. That is also only good for +1 items as you need a CL = 3x bonus. You can however meet the CL requirements using Practiced Spellcaster.
