for a continuation of a current campaign once my group reachs 20 or TPK happens, we will continue the adventure starting back at level 1.

i will be playing a monk. i have many ideas for the style of character. one just so happens to have a fishing pole.

so if anyone can "make" a fishing pole or direct me to a post that has one it would be greatly appreciated.

I would treat it as a whip, but without the bonus to trip or disarm.

Fishing Pole (Improvised simple weapon*)
1d2/1d3 x2 Slashing 2lbs
A fishing pole deals nonlethal damage. It deals no damage to any creature with an armor bonus of +1 or higher or a natural armor bonus of +3 or higher.

The fishing pole is treated as a melee weapon with 15-foot reach, though you don’t threaten the area into which you can make an attack. In addition, unlike most other weapons with reach, you can use it against foes anywhere within your reach (including adjacent foes).

Using a fishing pole provokes an attack of opportunity, just as if you had used a ranged weapon.

You can use the Weapon Finesse feat to apply your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier to attack rolls with a fishing pole sized for you, even though it isn’t a light weapon for you.

* Note that because the fishing pole is improvised, you'd need to take the Simple Weapon Proficiency (Fishing Pole) feat or you'd take a -4 attack penalty

That model seems a bit off to me; fishing poles aren't very strong, and wouldn't make very good weapons.

If you used a weight on the end, I'd let it be:

Fishing Pole: 1 handed improvised weapon. 1d3 bludgeoning, reach 10 feet. +2 on trip attempts, but if you fail to trip, the pole breaks.
