| draconic_swine03-18-06, 11:32 AM | Tough question. I'd say no. With their variable abilities and properties that aren't outlined among the special abilities of "regular" magic weapons, I'd say they're more akin to artifacts or wondrous items than magic weapons. And I don't think there's much argument over whether you can further enhance a wondrous item :P |

| supernerd891603-18-06, 02:04 PM | i dont see any reason why not. no matter how much they are like artifacts, they are magic weapons. i still probably wouldnt allow, givin how tough it would be to calculate the price. too much work. but if some one comes up with a system, it is viable to change them |

I would say that a vorpal holy avenger would exceed +10, so I wouldn't allow that until the epic levels. Other weapons may be different, but then it also depends on what enhancement that you want to add. There is no logical reason that someone couldn't add a "mundane" enhancement to these weapons, it's just mechanical, and +10 is the ceiling. |
| Psifon03-19-06, 01:33 AM | I would say yes, and in fact, I would say that other than the specific "+" enhancments of the weapon, everything about the weapon was just a flat GP outlay. Kind of like Elemental Resistance on armor, you just pay that flat price for the effect. You want a Vorpal Holy Sword, I'd say go for it. God knows D&D has a LOOOONG history of such weapons. |
