Shadowfax7 01-02-05, 03:47 PM	This might seem an easy question, but in looking at the definition of "helpless" and "paralyzed" in the 3.5 PHB Glossary it isn't . . . It states that a helpless (paralyzed, held, bound, sleeping or unconscious) target has a Dex of 0 (-5 modifier), not that they lose their Dex bonus to AC which is a requirement for a sneak attack. It doesn't sound right that you would not be able to sneak attack a helpless target ?? In contrast, stunned, climbing, balancing and cowering specifically state you lose your Dex bonus to AC (and thus you can sneak attack such a target). Please don't state "yes you can" or "no you can't", provide an explanation and proof from the SRD and/or FAQ. Otherwise your answer is useless to me. :)

Quarion Liadon 01-02-05, 04:15 PM	It's overkill too, with all the damage from a Coup de Grace. It can be helpful against bigger monsters, however, that are more difficult to take out with a Coup de Grace.
