Do any of you think it would be too much of a stretch to create thrown quickspark, quickflame, and quickfrost capsules to use as weapons, or maybe something similar applied to a weighted scrap of paper and 'ignited' by friction before thrown...? I'm trying to make a ninja character that can make them (and I think that, in some cases, it sucks that only spellcasters can be alchemists) so he can deal at least some element damage, and maybe throw multiple ones at a time for more damage...

Comments, anyone?

It seems to be the item "type" you are seeking, with the enchantment varying accordingly... there are such things as thunderstones and what nots, its already within the rules itself to create such items... you just describe the items in-game however you like.

The availability of the items to the character is another matter. It is up to the DM I suppose, in the end, to make the call if your character can make them, or depending on setting, have a shadowy provider or hidden shops where the character an obtain such items. It might be pretty interesting to have the character disappearing for an hour or so every other day to get the items and the party has no idea where he is going... :D Might even be a hook to get the character into some guild of sorts that makes the hidden shops available... whatever takes your fancy.
