Ok, for all those who have the Com. Arcane, look in the back to one of the back chapters and see this neat looking Construct (( i think )) looking figure on the Chapter Page. I used this for my Impervious Armor Idea.

The armor is air tight by design (( would this cause you to have Fortification against Sneak Attacks? )) with a bottle of everflowing air (( wonderous item )) affixed into the back piece (( which juts out a tad kind of like the MJOLNIR Mark 6 )) and providing the air needed to be in said armor. The armor take three people (( not the wearer )) to don and takes 10 minutes with three, to a min of 6 mins with 4 people (( any more get in the way )) and an additional 3 minutes minus each donner up to 20 minutes with one helper. The armor is like the Dendric from AaE in bulk and can be lightened by using Mythril to craft it. I redesigned the arms to be five fingered and relatively flexable. It adds an additional 25% to arcane spell failure and +3 to armor checks and weighs (( ? )) pounds. A person not proficient with heavy armor can not even wear it. The people donning must either know how or be explained on how (( extra ten minutes, confusing process )). The armor can be fitted with spikes like normal, but costs and additional 50 gold.

So, what do you all think? I need help with it I know, but come on . . . help a fellow out.

Being airtight has nothing to do with imuntiy to criticals/sneak attacks.

All it does is protect you against posion gasses/drowning.

A wine skin is air tight but that is not going to protect you against a dagger to the kidnies.

If you want to have non-magical armor with heavy fortification it would be a diving bell. No mortal would be able to carry it out of the water.

But isn't sneak attack mean you find some sort of chink in the armor and get the attack? and if there is not chink, how can you hit a vital point with no acess to said point? and btw, a wineskin osnt made out of inches of metal either . . . or is it?

Armors have weaknesses, even if they covered all. The weakness is dependant on the type of armor (for example, a flexible suit of armor unfortunately being useless against a blunt thwakking object (at least one reason padding is usually put between metal and body.))

D&D simplifies this, and doesn't provide advantages for certain weapons vs certain types of armor. Regardless, a rogue knows how to take advantage of these weaknesses, which means hitting armor in some circumstances, yes, and getting through the armor, not necessaily by puncturing or slicing through it. The only way to make someone impervious to such attacks would be to create a suit of armor that covered so heavily that the user could not move (or to make a magical enchancement, since magic negates logic). The need to move is what creates such weak areas. If you want to turn your fighter into a giant rock or metal square, then enjoy, but since he's unable to move, he will literally be a boulder (and someone else will be rolling to hit with it, presuming they can throw said boulder.) The minute he can move, the armor has ways of moving and there's a weak spot somewhere.

One choice that might get around this is to make a mecha (whose parts move independantly with levers, though magic or though gears.) This really doesn't seem appropriate for a D&D game, though...if you wanted to make such a creature, I would take a look at that underwater attack barrel thing in the wonderous items list. People who wanted to kill the creatures inside would have to either use spells or other abilities that get through the mechanized suit, or would have to destroy the suit first.

what about my suit of armor that is just like a tomb. it does not move but is air tight and fastened in at the sides, and when you get in, say command word and seals fully and magically. then on another command word, the armor can bend for exampl. like a stretchy toy, it does not open or angle, it just bends and morphs.

it would be (( very limited, this is just for example )) like Mr. Fantastic, melds to (( not with, which would be different )) flesh and bends with thought and movement of muscles. This would not give reach or anything and cant bend unlike an arm (( for example paper thin )) or the body. But whatever the body can do it can. This I would say would be a high enhancement, verging on epic probably up there in the +8 bonus maybe? or is that too much ? oh, and because of morphness, its dex penalty is reduced to +5 Max Dex and armor check is same as normal but imposes a -10 on things to do with sound, the bending armor is strangly lound. about the sound of a person talking slightly lower than normal. Sound good, ya?
