+Caster lvl items Stacking? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-26-05, 12:53 PM Would the Strand of Prayer Beads Bead of Karma +4 caster level stack with the Orange Iron stone +1 caster level effect?

Also would these + Caster lvl effects stack with the Divine Spell power feat out of the Complete Divine?

It just 'increases' caster level.
But then again, every DM I have seen, ruled it as an unnamed bonus.

Wrong. "The same source" means the same item or spell. Two orange Ioun Stones are two differant sources because the give un-named bonuses.

They are two different items but they are the same source of magic. Two speed weapons are different items as well but only grant one extra attack per round, not two, because they are the same source.

08-26-05, 06:07 PM The PH example of not stacking includes two distinct castings of ray of enfeeblement. I'm not sure how you can argue that two distinct rays of enfeeblement are the "same source" (even if cast by different casters) while two distinct orange ioun stones are not. Heck, the same ability from two differnet creatures won't stack either if it applies a penalty.
