05-22-06, 03:23 AM What are the rules for casting spells with somatic components while you are wielding a weapon? For that matter, what about a two handed weapon?

05-22-06, 03:33 AM You need at least one hand free to cast spells with somatic components.

Most people say you can hold a two-handed weapon in one hand temporarily so you can cast a spell, but you wouldn't be considered "wiedling" the weapon when you do.
