And I am looking for something like a special celestial-like ability or fiendish-like for weapons... I don't recall any celestial or fiendish qualities for weapons or armor off the top of my head, but how about the Holy or Unholy enhancements? And, if any of the undead are incorporeal, add the Ghost-Touched ability to both weapons and armor. Here's a great link (3.5 Weapon Special Abilities) I learned about earlier this week: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=9231978 |

A fiendish or celestial longsword might just have an extra point of planar damage ... or a dayblade (bards tale anyone) which was a sword that cast light a couple of times a day. |
| mordeus09-12-06, 06:27 AM | I also thaught about it... (having some minor bonuses) but I want something that will be usefull also in roleplaying. Some abilities that would be normal to come from an evil outsider for example... If a demon decided to construct a sword, what abilities could imbue to it? http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=9231978 the post is reaally great!! |

How about this: A Celestial/Fiendish weapon creates a pathway though which an outsider may affect the material plane. For as long as one holds the weapon they are treated as an outsider of either the good (celestial) or evil (fiendish) sub type. In addition, the weapon is treated as Holy (celestial) or Unholy (fiendish). In addition, once per day, as a full round action the sword may be used to channel positive (celestial) or negative (fiendish) energy. This is treated as a ranged touch attack version of cure or inflict spells and deals or cures 1d8 damage per level. Note that inflict spells heal undead and deal damage to living creatures and cure spells heal living creatures and deal damage to undead. The wording needs some cleaning up I think but there it is. |

| CryoSilver09-12-06, 02:57 PM | Make the weapon intelligent and RP it as a celestial/fiend. Give it the special power to summon once per day or something. I dislike making up new mechanics when old one's will do just fine. |
