Chain Weapon, Two Handed Weapon? [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-01-06, 01:07 PM I realize it occupies 2 hands, but when you Power Attack with it do you get the x1.5 modifier to damage or regular damage?

And without Power Attack do you gain the x1.5 strength modifier?

10-01-06, 03:02 PM 1) Yes and no. Yes, power attack works with a spiked chain. No, it doesn't add 1.5* the substracted attack bonus, but two times. Power attacking with a two handed weapon doubles the power attack bonus.
2) Yes, as with all two handed weapons, when wielded in two hands, they grant 1.5*Str-mod to damage.
