Chakram: Where is it? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-05-06, 07:18 AM **I recently bought "Champions of Ruin", and there you can find a feat called "charam ricochet" which is designed for a chakram, but by the life of me, I can't find it in the book or in any of my 3.5 books. Does anyone has any idea of where is it?

**Btw can it be used with the palm throw ability of the master thrower?.

**Another thing has anyone ever considered than a skiprock's price of 3gp is just way too much for a polished stone that has 1 use???? where do you spend the 1 gp of raw materials in?

03-05-06, 07:25 AM It's in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, but they might have published the stats in a more recent publication also. It's some kind of slashing disc blade (for throwing).

03-05-06, 10:06 AM 3GP is a lot for a regular old rock, but a skip rock is no regular rock. It allows you to make two attacks with a single thrown weapon. Chakram force you to spend a feat to get the same effect. Skiprocks are more like really cheap magic weapons (not great magic weapons, but decent). Oh, the cost of the material represents the cost to obtain the material. I imagine it takes a lot of time and careful searching to find regular rocks that can be turned into skip rocks.

I play a scout with Chakram Ricochet and a very high tumble skill. I can sometimes get four attacks with full skirmish damage! (Clerics who can cast Wield Skill are your friends.)

The Chakram can also be found in "Arms & Equipment Guide" but it has same stat's as in FRCS ! Beside that, it is the favorite Weapon of Shar (called Disk of the Night) and Xena ;). I think it's pretty stylish weapon and it can also be used in melee without penalty. Try to get one with the "returning" ability, otherwise it's ranged capabilities are a bit limited cos you can only throw once...

03-06-06, 06:15 PM I'm not sure if the stats are the same, but the manual of the Planes has the Annulat, which, at least visually, is the same thing. (flying donut of death!)
