In the "Estimating Magic Item Gold Piece Values" Table (7-33) in the DMG 3.5, it says that Charges/Day Items have the cost modifier of [Divide by (5 divided by charges/day)].
But what is the base price you divide by this ammount? I'm a bit confused  .

For example, a command word activation item that produces a 1st-level spell effect at caster level 1 would normally cost 1800 gp. If you make it useable only 3 times per day, however, you divide that 1800 by 5/3 (for 1080 gp).

What if it can be used once per week. Would it be (5/(1/7)) or (35/1).

1st-level spell effect at caster level 1 would

Only a couple items do this (Hat of Disguise and Hand of Mage), most 1st level items use caster level 3 spell level 1 (3*1*1,800 etc) because caster level 3 is the minimum caster level for taking the Craft feat.

What if it can be used once per week. Would it be (5/(1/7)) or (35/1).

There is no 1/week price.
Your best bet is Horn of Valhalla – Brass (DMG p260)
Summon 2d4+1 3rd level Human Barbarians Usable 1/week

11th level caster level 6th level spell and it is empowered (so 13th level).
The normal spell runs for 1 round/level or 13 minutes. Add 2 levels for duration, so 16th level (2x extended)?

So 16*6*1,800 = 172,800 gg / (5/1) = 34,560 for 1/day

So that isn't right, instead of 13th caster level to 16th caster level, lets x4 (similar to continuous multiplier):

13*6*1,800 * 4 / (5/1) = 112,320 gp for 1/day
1/week = 50,000 so that makes going from 1/day to 1/week slightly less than half?

So X/week = / (11/X) roughly.

There is no official pricing for 1/week.

I do it like this:

1/day = 1/5
1/week = 1/10 (1/2 price)
2/week is 3/10 (1/2 way between than 1/day and 2/day)
3/week is 5/10
No more than 3/week allowed

Why such a reduction not (1/7 the price)? Simple. If you are willing to take it 1/week chances are most days you don't need it. No one takes "the ability to get food 1/week". Instead you take "the ability to ressurect someone 1/week" so I reduce the discount to 1/2 instead of 1/7.

Twice a week is also odd, because in MANY situations it is better than 1/day (as you can do it twice in the same day). But it clearly is not as good as 2/day, so I price it 1/2 way between the two.

That lets me price 3/week fairly reasonably just by continuing the pattern. (3/week is more expensive than 2/day, but not as expensive as 3/day)
