| BigDumb12-01-05, 07:12 AM | It states that no attack of opportunity occures when charging, but I would assume this is mearly a clearification because the player is commiting an action outside of the norm such as initiating a grapple or disarm and not due to movemement through a threatened square. (hello run-on) If that is the case and an opponent has reach, would the player charging get called for the AoO for moving through the threatened square of the target? |
| Grizzled Gryphon12-01-05, 07:35 AM | Yup. If you charge a Huge creature with a reach of 15 feet, you provoke an AoA. The clarifictaion of charging does not provoke an attack of opportunity is because it is a special attack, most of which do prevoke one. |

The table you are referencing says that charging does not provoke an AoO, but you'll note that that table also has a note that says while the action itself may not provoke an AoO, it does not protect you from other AoOs provoked such as those from movement. |
