Mangekyouoo SharingGan 12-01-05, 11:18 PM	* there's a rule that when you charge you dont provoke AoO. My question is.. My Character charges to a HUGE red dragon. Why is it that my DM roll a AoO to me? His reasons: -Any huge size creature has a average size of 15x15 ft(3 boxes in grid) and have average 15 ft for reach and He said that when I charge I entered his treatend area(Coz a huge has a 15ft of reach).
kjenks 12-01-05, 11:38 PM	Your DM was right. Charging didn't provoke that AoO; leaving a threatened square provoked that AoO.
Inigo Carmine 12-01-05, 11:38 PM	Technically it's moving out of a square the dragon threatens that provokes, not into one. But, against something with 15-ft reach, yes, you're going to provoke when you charge it (unless your reach is equal to or greater than 15 ft). The rule is that charging itself doesn't provoke an AoO. On the same chart where you got that information, you should also take notice of the rule that says: Regardless of the action, if you move out of a threatened square, you usually provoke an attack of opportunity. This column indicates whether the action itself, not moving, provokes an attack of opportunity.
