| AAB06-10-07, 02:59 AM | IIRC there were some chariot stats/rules in the 3.0 arms and equipment guide. i generally do not like/trust/recommend this book, but that's all i can think of right now. |
| Watchman06-10-07, 07:38 AM | Cost- and maintenacne-wise war chariots were the ancient equivalent of a topnotch modern sports car, if not a private jet. And to make matters worse it took a fair bit of specialized training for both the driver and the warrior (and probably the horse team too) for them to be effective. Entire societies and their economies were shaped by the demands of maintaining fleets of effective chariotry. Cavalry was like gazillion times more cost-effective and rather more flexible to boot, so it's not really a surprise the about last known use of true war-chariots comes from the Romans' invasions of Britain. |
