| Nezkrul04-17-07, 11:53 AM | I brought an idea to my DM the other day about the Chasuble about why there isn't one greater than +2d6. The +1d6 one costs as much as a +2 weapon, the +2d6 one costs as much as a +3 weapon. So why not higher ones upto +9d6 costing as much as a +10 weapon? He agreed, and added them to his campaign. Now, I know he's biased on Warlocks (they are his favorite class), and we have 2 warlocks in the party (and I'm not one of them), but I suggested an alterantive so that Warlocks didn't take over the world with their +9d6 neck slots. 1d6-(+2), 2d6-(+3), 3d6-(+5), 4d6-(+7), 5d6-(+10), 6d6-(+14), 7d6-(+20), 8d6-(+29), 9d6-(+43), ... I don't know the name of the pattern but I know it goes 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34... thats what I suggested for the price scaling on the higher chasubles. He ignored me. Thoughts? |

| Nezkrul04-17-07, 12:02 PM | thats basically what my suggestion was, a +5d6 chasuble would cost as much as a +10 weapon, and everything else would cost as much as epic weapons and require craft epic wondrous. But he didn't go with that idea, so now +9d6 costs 200k. |
| DarkRhystar04-17-07, 12:48 PM | I don't know the name of the pattern but I know it goes 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34... thats what I suggested for the price scaling on the higher chasubles. He ignored me. Thoughts? Fibonacci. As for the other stuff... learn from this mistake. |
| Voldar_Mecorthio04-17-07, 08:29 PM | Well, Warlocks are underpowered, so this might not be too overpowering. If it is and if he is smarter than a squid, he will realize this and be merciful and either adopt your idea of Fibonacci-ing the price, ban the ideas, or just bask in the glory of his favorite class pwning all. In sinerios 1 and 2 all will be fine and dandy, but in #3 I suggest you find or make a new group. |
