I'm looking for a pair of cheap goggles for my lvl 1 gnome rogue. Nothing magic but a bonus to something would be nice. Something I could wear all the time. Any WoTC book. Oh, and not snow goggles, those aren't what I'm looking for. thanks

Oh, and I know that there is a bandoliar(sp) in some book and I can't find it, anyone help me with this?

Exactly. "My eyes! The goggles, they do nothing!"

Well... you could just have yourself having goggles. But if you want some statistics, I'd say thay would cost around 1gp (if that) and wouldn't give you any statistical/mechanical bonus. Altho, I guess they would offer you protection from snow-blindness or sand-blindness. In the races of eberon there are shaders, made for orcs, give -2 to spot but protect them from their light sensitivity.

Hmmm...well, there's the jeweler's loupe from Arms & Equipment...it's
only 20 gp, and gives you a +1 bonus to appraise checks. Maybe for a
few extra gp your DM would let you have a modified version that could
be swiveled or flipped down into place when wanted. Magnifying glass
straight out of the Player's is 100 gp and gives a +2 to appraise. (The
A&E Guide is 3.0, probably the loupe should also give a +2, because I
think in 3.0 most things were +1s while in 3.5 most things are +2s.)
The magnifying glass also lets you start fires...a kind DM might let you
have one added on to your helmet or something, or maybe just made
into goggles you could use as needed.

Not much in the way of non-magical goggles that I know of. Your best
bet is probably to wait until you can afford it and get goggles of minute
seeing, which are only 1,250. There's other stuff, such as the spellsight
spectacles or monocle of perusal in Complete Adventurer, but they're
well beyond a 1st level character's price range. As for the bandolier...I
can't think of anywhere that is either, but I know I've seen some kind
of vest...knife vest...rogue's vest?...something like that, which lets you
sheath 10 daggers-that what you're after?

There are swimming googles in stormwrack for 15 gp that in clear water increases the wearer's vision by 6d8x10 feet. In Frostburn there are snow goggles for 2 gp that gives a +2 against blinding effects but a -4 to spot and search (not including sunburst and blindness). Sandstorm contains sun lenses that prevent you from being dazzled.
I already posted this in another place but I'll put it up for you.
found in the July 2004 Dragon Magazine, pgs. 30-38.
Bandolier: Cost= 2gp. Weight 1lb.
Description: A wide belt worn diagonally across the chest. A bandolier has space for five items about the size of a potion, powderhorn, or dagger. These items are readily available, allowing an item on a bandolier to be retrieved as a move action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. A character may wear a maximum of two bandoliers at once, although the second holds only four items ( a space is lost where one gunman's bandolier over laps the other.

That bandolier is nice for a dagger thrower, but the OP wants an item
for potions. I dunno the stats for it exactly, but I think what they had
in mind was this:

potion belt 5gp weight ?lbs (I think it's either - or 1lb)
holds up to 6 potions which can be drawn as a free action
Note: still takes another action to DRINK the potion.

And don't ask me what book it's from, because I don't own it. A player
in my game had one, and once the DM approved it, everybody else got
the stats from him and immediately bought one too. It's just too good
to not buy it, otherwise you have to rummage in your backpack for any
potion you need, unless you have the triple H.
