How many attacks a character can make?
Can this feat substitute Whirlwind Attack? (considering he hits all the unnamed attacks)

The description says he can strike multiple opponents.... needs full round action.... if the character strikes the first adjacent opponent, than he makes a circle kick against the second.... if he hits the second he can make another circle kick against a thirt opponent? and keep going this way?

it īs not clear to me....

thanks

In either case you can only attack those creatures you threaten at the beginning of your attack action. If you have 5' reach (a medium sized monk using unarmed strike) then this would be the 8 squares adjacent to the one you occupy.

Y = you
T = threatened square

Circle Kick and Whirlwind Attack are both full round actions so you can use only one of them at a time.

With CK you must hit a target in order to gain an attack on the next target. In the diagram above this COULD be 8 attacks if all of your attacks hit the intended targets. If you miss a target your attacks stop at that point.

With WWA you get an attack on every creature you threaten. In the diagram above this would be 8 attacks and there is no need to succeed on all of your attacks. You attack all 8 creatures once each.

Great Cleave will also allow you to do this, but you must "drop" each target.

forget those 8 attacks.

From the S&S FAQ:

How does the Circle Kick feat work for a monk or
other character with multiple attacks? Or for a monk
who uses a flurry of blows? Does each successful unarmed
attack roll allow a second attack against a different
opponent?

A character using Circle Kick makes one attack. If this
single attack hits, the character makes a second attack at the
same attack bonus as the first.

Sorry, brain flatulation. Egres is correct. You would only get two attacks with circle kick.
