| Forged_Fury10-17-06, 10:50 PM | Do note that CL 20 has absolutely nothing to do with item creation. Double-check the errata. -Forged_Fury |
| Narthon10-18-06, 07:12 AM | Ok, What does CL in the listing mean then? |
| Forged_Fury10-18-06, 07:42 AM | It tells you what the usual CL of an item would be if you were to find it in game. Why 20th level casters need glue and solvent, I don't know... In any case, the only real use of that CL listing is to let you know what the item's saving throws are, if they ever need to save. -Forged_Fury |
| risner10-18-06, 09:57 AM | It also helps explain the costs of items if you attempt to reverse engineer an item to make it better or to attempt to determine the cost of a component. |
| tarkin10-18-06, 01:04 PM | Please note that CL was poorly explained to the game designers. When it started out, they were told it was a pre-req. Then officially it became just for saves, etc. This accounts for some of the sillyness. |
