What is the damage on a critical from the bonuses if the crit is X2 I think the bonus damage is 8(str mod times X 2) +1 for the magical weapon, and +2 for the feat for a total of plus 11, but some have tried to tell me that you add the 4, 2, and 1 then multoply by 2 to get 14. |

The people that are telling you 14 are correct. Using your example I'm going to say the weapon is a +1 longsword. Here is the damage for a normal hit: 1d8+7 (+4 STR, +2 WS, +1 magic) Here is the damage for a critical hit: 2d8+14 If you use the power attack feat the extra damage would also be doubled. The extra dice of damage granted by sneak attack, skirmish, or weapon abilities (flaming, holy and so on) are not doubled. I hope this clears things up for you. |
