| Cadwyn02-21-07, 04:42 PM | Hmm, Ok...Im making a Char who has 1 claw attack (because of a weird armthingamabob) and he uses a dagger in the other hand, how would his attacks play out? Assume he has total AttackBonus +11/+6 and Two Weapon Fighting |
| cwslyclgh02-21-07, 04:48 PM | I believe that weapon attacks are considered primary, so in this case he would be +9/+4 with the dagger, and a claw at +9 (natural attacks are generaly considered light weapons), the claw would only get 1/2 strength bonus to damage... I could be missrembering, but that is how I think it would work (with out bothering to look it up). |
| SephDragoon02-21-07, 05:06 PM | If the claw is a natural weapon, and not a manufactured one (I will assume not, though there are certain claw weapons out there), then it really can't be used with TWF... Because a claw is used as a secondary attack when used with a weapon. What happens is, you get Full Dagger attack, at full BAB, then the claw at a -5 (so it would be at a 6) in addition to your full round attack. Now, I know unnarmed strike can be used offhanded, but I don't think that natural weapons even can be. |
| kjenks02-21-07, 05:22 PM | This is covered in the Main 3.5e FAQ. For your normal attack bonus of +11/+6 (including Str), during a full attack you would get two iterative dagger attacks at +11 and +6 and one claw attack at +6. Since the claw is treated as a secondary natural weapon, it has a -5 attack penalty (already figured into that +6) and it inflicts 1/2 Str bonus on damage. |
| savant_warlord1302-21-07, 05:30 PM | TWF is useless unless you are using two manufactured weapons. Drop the feat. I'm not sure if natural weapons are automatically secondary if you are also using a manufactured weapon. |
