Could a character/creature useing his claws as weapons and still gain the AC from wearing a buckler?

if the buckler is not on the arm that is attacking, yes.

otherwise, i don't think so. although it might be possible.

in a realistic perspective ide say yes. I have no idea why DnD says you cannot use bucklers or bracers of armor when you attack with that arm becasue that is unrealistic. I think maybe the peoiple who came up with the ocmbat system might nto have been actual fighters themselves, becasue i know in my fighting style we focus mostly on claws and light blades. Silat Gayong, and it is fully aplicible to be able to block and strike in one motion.

its been argued that two weapon fighting doesn't work with natural weapons...however with search down i can't direct you to where

You cannot keep the AC of a buckler when you use its limb to attack. You just can't.

Unless you take the Improved Buckler Defense feat, which lets you keep the buckler's AC when you attack with its limb. Otherwise, you are not able to.

That is correct.

If you use an arm to attack, you can not use it to do something else that round, including wield another weapon or a shield.

UNLESS you have a feat.

THe two common feats used are:

Improved Bucker Defense (Lets you make an attack with an arm that also wields a buckler shield)

Improved Shield Bash (Lets you make a shield bash attack while still getting the use of the shield as a shield)
