Ok so 2 quick questions, probably pretty stupid but I might as well ask:
1. I play a Werewolf Warblade, I use Claws of the Beast(Savage Species) to augment my attacks, now since I'm...using a "weapon" in a way would I be allowed iterative attack based on my BAB or would I still be limited to my 2 claws per the normal rules?

2.Has anyone come up with a way for a character who's primary weapon is a Natural claw attack to keep up in combat? Don't get me wrong, the few levels I have in Warblade really help with the techniques but in a normal round I'm having a little trouble keeping up damage wise with some of the other "tanks". I was thinking something like adding 1/2 or 1/4 the sum of the iterative attacks(rounded up) to the attack roll and dmg but at higher levels this seems a tad extreme, so for example if you had +10/+5 you'd be adding +3(for 1/2) or +2(for 1/4), while at +20/+15/+10/+5 you'd be adding +15(for 1/2) or +8(for 1/4). Maybe make it a feat? 1/4 seems ok, 1/2 seems....epic to say the least...

1) Nope, you still only get two claw attacks. Claws of the Beast augments your existing natural claw attacks. It doesn't change them into normal weapons. The Claws of the Beast also function as gauntlets, if I remember correctly. So you could make your normal number of by using the Claws of the Beast as regular gauntlets.

2) Either a) Find a way to add more natural attacks to your natural attack routine, b) have the party wizard cast haste on you, c) swallow your pride, get yourself greatsword, and save the claw attacks for emergencies, or d) take the feat chain in the Draconomicon that allows you to get extra attacks with a natural weapon. I forget what the feats are called though, but they're probably in other books as well.

Or you can e) use this houserule: Creatures with claw attacks can choose to do slashing damage with an unarmed strike. Describing your your unarmed attacks as claw attacks preserves the flavor and gives you your normal iterative attack routine while still allowing "claw" attacks. The only downside is that you hit for slightly less damage.

Well I gotta say I pretty much expected the replies to be like this. The only problem is that none of these maintain the flavor I'm going for, I'm a Werewolf Warblade specializing in the Tiger Claw discipline, the only "heavy" weapon I could use is the GreatAxe...(my characters a lumberjack and I just noticed that weapon is a discipline weapon...). The only problem is I'm trying to embody the style, I use Rabid Wolf Strike in animal form, Claw at the Moon as a Hybrid, etc.

Granted these would still work with a weapon I'd end up loosing all the flavor, causing me to be like "every other warblade".

I guess I'll just have to deal, or see if my DM will house rule something if it becomes an issue.

(The feats from Dragonomicon sound interesting though)

The feat chain is known as Rapidstrike (and Improved Rapidstrike). Unfortunately, there's a requirement that you be of the aberration, dragon, elemental, magical beast, or plant types. Talk with your DM about changing that or about gaining the dragonblood subtype (which allows you to qualify for most things as a dragon).

Interestingly, the book also contains a PrC that can turn your unarmed strikes into claws of sorts, known as the Initiate of the Draconic Mysteries.

Which allows you to do slashing damager with your unarmed strikes, and feature that can be duplicated with a feat found in the PH2. It seems that's not what he's looking for unfortunately.

I haven't read the ToB, so I don't know much about warblade class or how their maneuvers work. But from what I understand, you specifically need more claw attack. Not just more attacks per round in general, right? If it's the latter, there's a spike tail-ring weapon somewhere out there that grants you a tail attack as a natural weapon, or something like that. Other than that, I'm out of ideas.

Ya so it's sounds like I'm more or less stuck w/o some kind of houseruling. Thanks for all the help guys. Looks like I may just need to go with a manufactured weapon or deal with the reduced damage capacity.
