| LagomorpPrime10-26-04, 05:34 PM | If you have a monster that's attack routine is claw/claw, and you give it a Necklace of Natural Weapons that adds speed to the claws, does it now get 3 attacks (2 normal plus 1 for Speed) or 4 (2 normal plus an extra one for each claw, since each claw now has speed on it)? |
| Methos of Aundair10-26-04, 05:48 PM | Quoted from the SRD Speed: When making a full attack action, the wielder of a speed weapon may make one extra attack with it. The attack uses the wielder’s full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This benefit is not cumulative with similar effects, such as a haste spell.) Moderate transmutation; CL 7th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, haste; Price +3 bonus. Underlining is mine. The effects do not stack. Even if you have the ability on both claws you would still only get to use the benefits of one of them. In other words you would get one additional attack. NOTE: There is also a statement in the FAQ that concurs with this but my oven buzzer just rang so dinner is done. Sorry, but food is imore mportant! :) EDIT: I was so focused on dinner I made some spelling and grammer mistakes in my last sentence. Hey, I was/am hungry! :D |
| Dragos10-26-04, 06:59 PM | i would think it would work...because even though its both a claw attack...its two separate claws....so i would think it would work out to 4 attacks...but i might be wrong...just my opinion |
