Clerify fighting Defensivly [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-28-07, 02:58 AM Fighting Defensively as a Standard Action: You can choose to fight defensively when attacking. If you do so, you take a –4 penalty on all attacks in a round to gain a +2 dodge bonus to AC for the same round.

Fighting Defensively as a Full-Round Action: You can choose to fight defensively when taking a full attack action. If you do so, you take a –4 penalty on all attacks in a round to gain a +2 dodge bonus to AC for the same round.

Slightly Confused. Im not sure where the difference is when doing it is a FRA and a standard action?

03-28-07, 10:26 AM Also, fighting defensively as a standard action is probably there to allow players to do so when they're unable to take a full-round action (during the surprise round, when you're staggered, etc.).
