(level 2 * CL 3 * 2000) = 12000gp If you note footnote 3, spells with durations measured in 10min/level such as Alter Self get an additional 1.5x price multiplication, for a total of 18,000gp. However, I believe this is the sort of item that would go beyond the price guidelines. Consider that you can turn yourself into a Troglodyte using Alter Self. That would grant you a +6 Natural Armor bonus, with no appreciable penalties. You would also get natural weapons. The normal price for +6 Natural Armor would be 36,000gp, also from the price guidelines. However, the versatility of changing into multiple forms for whatever a situation demands should further increase the price. I would personally think that an item like this should cost about 50,000gp, if not a bit more. Note that you could get a Cloak of Disguise (as Hat of Disguise) for the same cost as a Hat though, because hats and cloaks have similar affinities. You can still look different that way at least, and it is much cheaper. |
