Question: Does the Collision property (XPH, page 165) do double damage on a successful critical hit? The normal rule concerning what's included in critical hit damage seems somewhat vague in this circumstance. If you add your weapons enhancement bonus twice, I would think that you would add the +5 damage from Collision twice, as well.

Opinions? Rules-quotes?

that is a tricky one. since its not additional DICE of damage, my instincts would say that it would indeed multiply (as far as RAW is concerned anyway).
however, having used this type of weapon and knowing how potent they are (+2 enhancement for +5 damage) I don't think it would be unfair for a DM to rule that it didn't, since they're already getting a bargain as far as costs benefits ratio is concerned.
DMs call AFAIK.

So collision gives +5 damage for a +2 enhancement?

It's not an issue. You're sacrificing +2 to-hit in exchange for +3 damage. That's worse than PA with a two-handed weapon.

So yes, it multiplies on a critical hit as normal.

By RAW A static(non-changing), unnamed bonus will multiply out for the purpuses of critical hits. Extra dice from class abilitys-NO. Enhancement bonus-YES. Extra dice from Flaming, Shocking, Frost-NO. Power Attack bonus-YES. Collision-YES.

By the RAW the spelling is different
Bonus to damage is multiplied
Extra damage isn't multiplied

You need only to look about how is spelled it

What's the confusion? Read PH pg 134 or 306: "Exception: extra damage dice are not multiplied". If it's extra dice, it's not multiplied, if it's anything else, it is. Clear as day.

(Admittedly, the summary box on PH pg 140 doesn't help by being less than explicit, but that a summary box doesn't say isn't important when both the main rule and the glossary do.)
