Powerful build does not stack with monkey grip.

That said, you could either just craft a colossal weapon, or apply the sizing weapon property from MIC (recommended, since it costs just 5000gp, as opposed to the +10000+gp for an adamantine weapon of appropriate size).

I think the wujen spell giant self or something can eventually make your gargantuan, which should let you wield colossal weapons in tandem with powerful build.

Goliath is a medium sized creature with powerful build so they couldn't use anything over large sized weapons. So a it couldn't use a huge weapon to begin with.

You you are Large sized? I thought Goliath were Medium?

If you are Medium Goliath with Powerful Build and Monkey Grip (useless) then you are using a Large weapon.

If you find a way to use Huge or larger, then your racial Powerful Build is useless and your Monkey Grip feat is always useless in any build with Powerful Build.

One step up from collossal is titanic.

Well according to Draconomicon, Colossal++ was abandoned and anything larger than Gargatuan is all considered Colossal.

So where did you find Titanic?

Mountain rage makes you large. This might stack with monkey grip, allowing you to wield huge weapons.:)

Mountain Rage does stack. You can snatch the Balanced Enhansement and make the weapon Heavy. Add sizing to keep it usable in your normal form.

If you're building from the ground up and have a few open levels, take the Half-Minotaur template and bump your base size to large.

Balanced is old A&EG 3.0 material and won't stack with Monkey Grip/Powerful Build.

Heavy is old old old old old 3.0 material with funny wording, so good luck getting your DM to translate it to 3.5 in a useful manner.

Titanic is a template, not a size category. Having said that, there is Colossal +, which is described in the Epic Level Handbook as being the size category above Colossal. Now, for your question. A two-handed weapon is the same size category as the size category designed to wield it. Therefore, a Colossal + weapon would be twice as large as a wyrm red dragon. I'll wish you good luck wielding it. However, as runestar said, there is the giant form spell, which makes you Gargantuan. This means that you could wield a Colossal + weapon at only a -4 penalty to attack rolls. However, while the spell isn't active, you'll have to face the logistical issue of lugging around a weapon that's 32 times larger than you are.

Or, you could make it a sizing weapon. Whatever floats your boat.

How would someone even USE a colossal greatsword? It'd be about 40 feet long. You'd only be able to use it in an open field.

And my point was that the Colossal+ from 3.0 was all rolled into Colossal in the Draconomicon (3.5) as one size. Everything Colossal or larger is simply Colossal now.

No, your wrong. Titanic IS a size category. Titanic is also a template in MM2 i believe. But theres a better version of that template called Gigantic template in the book of templates. So sorry, your wrong, titanic is a size category.

This is the table for it in book of templates. I hope it comes out right.

Table 1–2: Creature Size Statistics
Size AC/Attack Modifier Grapple Modifier Hide Modifier Dimension Weight Typical Space/Reach Carrying Capacity
Miniscule +12 –20 +20 ≤ .5 in. ≤ .5 oz. .25 ft./0 ft. × .0625
Fine +8 –16 +16 to 6 in. to 2 oz. .5 ft./0 ft. × .125
Diminutive +4 –12 +12 to 1 ft. to 1 lb. 1 ft./0 ft. × .25
Tiny +2 –8 +8 to 2 ft. to 8 lb. 2.5 ft./0 ft. × .5
Small +1 –4 +4 to 4 ft. to 60 lb. 5 ft./5 ft. × .75
Medium +0 +0 +0 to 8 ft. to 500 lb. 5 ft./5 ft. × 1
Large –1 +4 –4 to 16 ft. to 4,000 lb. 10 ft./10 ft. (tall) × 2
or 5 ft. (long)
Huge –2 +8 –8 to 32 ft. to 32,000 lb. 15 ft./15 ft. (tall) × 4

Gargantuan –4 +12 –12 to 64 ft. to 250,000 lb. 20 ft./20 ft. (tall) × 8

Colossal –8 +16 –16 to 128 ft. to 1,000,000 lb. 30 ft./30 ft. (tall)× 16

Titanic –12 +20 –20 ≥ 129 ft. ≥ 1,000,001 lb. 50 ft./50 ft. (tall) × 32

Technically, everything 3.0 is 3.5 unless a newer version has been released. Balanced technically works the opposite way as Monkey Grip/Powerful Build by stating that it is treated as one size smaller for purposes of being wielded. Not the same effect and one that would stack with someone being treated as one size larger.

A Huge weapon with Balanced is treated as a Large weapon, and a Medium Creature with Monkey Grip/Powerful Build is treated as a Large Creature.

Heavy is another weapon boost that is more of a weapon trait with both a benefit and a penalty (+1 size for damage, -4 to attack).

This book of templates? The non WotC 3rd party book?
http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=5315

Doesn't change the fact that in 3.5 WotC books (Draconomicon) they changed it to be only Colossal for everything Colossal or larger?

I know all about both properties, but whether my way or your way is correct has not been determined on many debates. I read Balanced and see that it doesn't stack with PB/MG. You see it a different way. I see that Heavy can't be translated into 3.5 due to differences in the way the rules changed. Either way this is a debate for a separate thread (to which there have been several) and not for here.

I thought Draconomican introduced Colossal++.

Evidently we are both right.

Draconomicon page 99 says "Although there is no size category larger than Colossal ... These dragons are said to be of Colossal plus size."

So they say there is no size category above Colossal but at the same time differentiate some as different (creating the Colossal+ tag instead of removing it like I thought.)

It's also unofficial. Meaning it doesn't have any more weight here than if I said "the size category above colossal is called hamburger".

OK, so my question applies to this forum...

Heres my idea:
Rage Mage (class doesnt really matter, but ill just say what class i want to try it on anyways)

Feats:
Exotic weapon proficiency(Fullblade)
Monkey grip

Buffs:
Enlarge person.

Equipment:
Strongarm bracers (the rest doesnt matter for this situation)

So does that mean that i wield a Gargantuan weapon? maybe bigger even...
Large for me being large, +2 sizes (monkey grip, strongarm bracers)

If so, it would do 6d8 damage? sounds good to me!

But... How long would it be? (fullblade says its 18 inches longer then greatsword) and would that length give me additional reach?

ALSO, wouldnt it wiegh like 9776 pounds or something... considering wieght goes up by x8 per size category.

So assuming that i COULD wield 10k worth of wieght (or made it like brilliant energy or something) how would this weapon combo work. Or is it just too rediculous to consider.

Honestly? It would suck, because there's WAY better things you could be doing with your spells and feats. What's wrong with the humble greatsword? It's still as tall as your character and has the added benefit of fitting inside buildings, and through doors. That's just my opinion, though.

That's x2 per category. Think x8 is creature weight or something.

If you find a way to use Huge or larger, then your racial Powerful Build is useless While that follows the strict, literal permissions of the text, it does not appear to be the writer's intent. Indeed, the 3.5 FAQ gives an example of powerful build being used (by a medium character) to wield a huge weapon.

Large for me being large, +2 sizes (monkey grip, strongarm bracers).

Tons of problems with your thinking:

1) Strongarm and Monkey Grip will not stack, drop MG.

2) Fullblade doesn't exist in 3.5, and the FAQ suggest making it a Large weapon usable by Medium with EWP. If it is a Large Weapon, it won't stack with "one size larger than you" language in things like MG.

Your best bet is to use a Large weapon and then Enlarge yourself for a Huge weapon damage.

While that follows the strict, literal permissions of the text, it does not appear to be the writer's intent. Indeed, the 3.5 FAQ gives an example of powerful build being used (by a medium character) to wield a huge weapon.

Which goes back to DM fiat. If the DM wants to house rule and allow it, he can. But the RAW doesn't support it. Also, you (and you may be able to persuade me) believe that the RAI is that PB would allow this, but frankly we don't know that for sure. Our only comment is the FAQ and it was speculating on how to translate a 3.0 item into a 3.5 game. I believe he got confused along the way in the conversion as he makes seemingly contradictory statements.

If you are holding the weapon when you get enlarged, won't it be sized for you, not a size or 2 bigger?

I believe it will change size relative to you.

That's x2 per category. Think x8 is creature weight or something.
It should be x8 - that would be doubling in length, height and depth. As you correctly noted, by RAW it's x2 so we can avoid the ant/elefant fiasco (larger creatures need more and more efficient or massive muscles to move stuff relative to their size).
