Wait...I don't quite under stand this: explosive or knockback or last resort special abitilties (see complete warrior) open for dwarves, gnomes, human, elves or half elves

Does it have one of those abilities non-magically? And what does "open for (these races)" mean?

You also don't say whether it's supposed to be simple, martial or exotic.
I'll assume it's supposed to be a light weapon...

One note is that a knife should almost certainly be "slashing OR piercing", not "slashing AND piercing", as i can be used either way, but it doesn't do both at once.

i was wondering about the abilities as well. are those just the commonly placed ones, or is this supposed to be a named magical weapon?

its almost certianly a martial weapon, just an expensive dagger after all.

Daggers are combat knives...

You know, whenever I play a character that carries a knife, I always write "big knoif" on my character sheet. Unfortunately, it's still just a dagger with a named that references Crocodile Dundee. It also always erked me that you can't cut someone with a knife which severely limits your urban knife-related threats. (no "I'll cut you," only "I'll stick you.") Honestly, I don't see why there coulnd't be a martial knife. Call it a Combat Knife, give it a 19-20 threat range, and let it do slashing/peircing damage.....oh! and take away the ability to use it as a throwing weapon. Think of it as a Bowie Knife.

And as a side note, I too am confused about that exploding and knockback non-sense.

I was using Kingdoms of Kalamar to help with this and those Specials are random ideas also I did't want to go with a conventional dagger i was suggesting a customized one

a bowie knife is more like a kukri than dagger! Stat wise that is...

Daggers on 3.5 are slashing or piercing, you can choose to cut or stab with it (unlike say a morning star which is bludgeoning and peircing at the same time).

for the record Bowie knives can be thrown just fine.

Knives like the bowie are the only ones I've ever been able to throw and stick. They're straight though, not really so much like a kukri. A big bowie borders on a shortsword, though. :)

I was looking for a knife that represents Krauser's from Resident Evil 4

It's a big dagger... daggers are just knives with blades anywhere from six inches to a foot, which is where shortswords then take over.
