This is where my dm left my group off last night, and it has been decided that for an atonement for my paladin-like character I would have to fight this beast alone and win.

Here is the gist of what I am capable of.

I am a level 13 paladin/bard gestalt ( best way to describe it, the dm gave me an interesting character) currently inhabiting the body of a medium stone golem (14hd). I see through tremor sense 60ft and have an STR score of 30. I use a two handed battle scythe as a weapon +3 3d4, but also keep a quarterstaff handy. My spells are taken strictly from the paladin spell list and I have access to any paladin spell I can find in 3rd party sources. I also have access to a 1st level paladin spell from 2nd edition called bestow. Allows me to heal my lay on hands as a first level spell, and I can cast 4 1st level spells now. My charisma modifier after spells is 16, and at my level that’s 208 lay hands I am capable of. The only way I can heal myself is through sacred healing the feat, giving myself fast healing 3 for a certain number of rounds. I also have an AC around 60, and I am capable of using Divine shield to enhance a buckler I keep on my left arm ( along with a feat: improved buckler defense for using a buckler with a 2 handed weapon). This will put it around 76ish after buffing spells.

What I am up against.

Assume it is not only an intelligent skeleton dragon, but has a high charisma score as well. Also assume it has the 3.0 resistances of skeletons, along with 15/+3 DR from the dragon type. we are looking at probably 30-40hd of d12's

What I am thinking.

I don't know if Bestow allows for a saving through, but even 104 damage per spell would greatly help me defeat a negative energy creature. But I am sure the DM will have a way to thwart this. Also I am assuming the dragon has some way to dispel me when I buff up, but I have to at least try just incase it can't.

Now the help I need.

I would like to hear some tactics that you would try to employ when in such a fight like this. Perhaps something you say here will save my characters life.

Pull a large wagon full of kegs of holy water with you. When in range, start chucking. :P

I think you are on to something...

The dragon is in an ice cave, I will have to see how much water I can bless as a level 13 caster. Perhaps I can bless the ice, and then cause an avalanche onto the undead dragon. My DM likes it when we think of interesting ways to deal with situations and if there is some type of restriction in bless water he may overlook it.

Thank you for the brainstorming.
