| StealthMan02-14-05, 08:41 AM | How is it that two books that are "Accessories" to the Core Books of D&D are conflicting. Oriental Adventures states that the Ninja-to is the main weapon of the ninja but Complete Adventurer does not even have the Ninja-to in the weapon list nor does it add it as a new weapon. Is there an Errata coming out soon? |
| murte02-14-05, 08:50 AM | Well CAdv is not to replace OA, use it more as a guideline to update OA to 3.5 (although there is an update FAQ or erratta somewhere for OA). Most likely there is a similiar weapon which can easily be converted to said ninja-to, perhaps check CWar for a list. |

| william_reinmar02-14-05, 09:40 AM | jus a short sword? I'd make it lighter and give it 18-20/x2 critical |

How's there a conflict between those books? One of the books has some more material than the other, thats all. It's kinda like saying the DMG and the PHB are conflicting because the PHB doesn't contain the prestige classes  |
| tarkin02-14-05, 11:39 AM | OA is 3.0 CA is 3.5 If you are playing 3.0, you should not use CA without modifying stuff in it back to 3.0 If playing 3.5, you have to upgrade OA information, so if CA contradicts it, go with CA. |
| bjorntfh02-14-05, 12:54 PM | Since Ninja-to in OA is just a short sword that does slashing damage, you don't need to stat it out differently. The reason it was an EWP was because of the untility sheathe. You could use it (with the proper feat) as a blowgun, ladder step, club, and breathing tube. That's 1 EWP feat for: 1 martial weapon (the sword), 1 simple weapon and 2 tools out of one item. |
| StealthMan02-14-05, 01:00 PM | Thanks all. what i meant by Conflict was that the ninja to wasn't even listed as a weapon of choice nor was it added in the new weapons list. In anycase, thanks all for your feedbacks. |
| bjorntfh02-14-05, 01:28 PM | OA gave rogues proficiency with Ninja-To, so there's no reason not to give it to Ninja (since they're proficient in all the uses it has after all.) |
