I'm trying to enchant a suit of armor with the three DR-giving properties (axeblock, hammerblock and spearblock) in the Complete Warrior. The description blocks state that if a suit of armor has two of the three properties, they overlap (e.g. DR/bludgeoning and piercing and DR/piercing and slashing becomes DR/piercing), but it doesn't say anything about having all three properties. Can you have all three of those properties in the first place? I assume that if you can, they overlap and become DR/-. The FAQ and Errata are silent on this.

I would allow it as long as there are no other enchantments that allow for the same DR but are more expensive. I do not have any of my books with me, I think there is one but I don't know. As far as rules go I do not think it would be allowed. "The description blocks state that if a suit of armor has two of the three properties, they overlap." Usually whenever the say something like this and nothing else that is as far as they can go but I think if you put down the money you should get all three.

Each property is priced as a +2 bonus, so to have them all I actually have to give up 1 point of AC (I'm doing this for a 20th-level character). No epic properties give exactly the same DR, but the closest I could find is DR 5/epic for an identical +6 bonus.

If you have two of the three then only a weapon of the type that both have in common can get through the DR, like for creatures that have more than one damage reduction. If you have all three of them, than any normal weapon would be subject to one of the three abilities and thus the damage would be reduced, but if you are attacked with a bite attack that counts as slashing, piercing and bludgeoning, it would get through all of them. They basically didn't wrote it down, because DR 5/slashing or piercing plus DR 5/slashing or bludgeoning is exactly equivalent to DR 5/slashing, but having all three of them would be DR 5/slashing and piercing and bludgeoning which is possible but is yet used for any creature.

at 20th level 5 points of damage isnt worth it. most blink thier eyes for that much damage by then.

you're better off with +6 worth of enhancement bonus or something else.
