Was there an enchantment or specific bow that had its STR setting adapted according to the user or am I at a mistake?
I know there's a specific on in A&E that requires a MEA to pull the string and then shoot with whatever STR you have, but it's not what I'm looking for. Is there one that won't require a MEA?

I think Complete Divine has a relic that does that... I'm not sure about anything else.

There was a magic bow that did what you're looking for, but I'll be frelled if I can remember where I saw it. It was a while ago, and I didn't think it was worth the price, so I just sort of put it from my mind.

Correlon's Bow, described right behind Correlon...

though if someone finds another source I'd sure like to know...

Naw, it was a third party thing. Mongoose or AEG or something. Like I said, it cost too much to be worth it, in my opinion. It was like a +3 Weapon Adjustment or something.

There's one in the ELH, I forget what its called but only Elves can use it and its epic.

Thanks everybody!

Kalwynrian, Corellon's bow in DnDg is just a +10 STR bow.
But the Elven Greatbow, from EHL, really do what I was looking for. The epic status of it is due Unerring Accuracy enchantment (a +6 one), and also the fact it sums up to a total +12 bonus (+5 enhancement, +6 unerring accuracy, +1 keen, plus an apparent 20000gp cost for the mighty aspect).
Curiously, it's strange how things could go... I doubt anyone would pay a +6 enchantment in 3.5 for an enchantment that does the same thing as the Improved Precise Shot feat. ;)

As a 3.5 source, indeed the Bow of the Wintermoon, from CD, does that. But it's hard to price since it's a relic, but let's see...
The guideline says to give a discout of at least 400gp*slot required*minimum caster level... that's 36400gp.
The bow itself is a +4 frost composite longbow of drow bane with the auto-str adjustment. So, let's see... apart of the special enchantment, it's a +6 weapon, which is worth 72400gp.
Hmm.. since the bow is priced at 36300gp, the discount isn't the suggested one... hard to discover the actual price of the enchantment if it's like that... :weep:
Anyway, I guess it shouldn't be worth too much. After all, in 3.5 you can have a bow with any STR set and the only penalty you take by using a wrong one is a -2, no matter the difference.
