I would love to see more Rip Roaring Barbarian fighters like that! On my side as I am a twiggy little gnome wizard :D ;) ! |

I know he disarmed, grappled, used unarmed strikes like kicks, and stuff, but when did he stun? |
| Donraj08-26-05, 10:02 PM | Game rules aside, if you get slugged in the gut by Conan I think its safe to say that you're stunned. |
| TyraaloftheFist08-26-05, 11:33 PM | ...dang straight; too many feckin' muscles for it not to at least double you over. I don't recall him ever stunning anyone, but that might have just been shown as staggering them with an attack or throwing them off-balance. On a side note, does the RAW even allow for players hurling people at each other without specific feats like Hurl Ally? |
| Calibron08-27-05, 12:28 AM | I think Skip Wiliams made up some rules fior it, but they aren't official. |
| mvincent08-27-05, 01:36 AM | does the RAW even allow for players hurling people at each other without specific feats like Hurl Ally? The Rules of the Game article (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rg/20050315a) introduces this optional rule: "Toss Your Foe: Make an opposed grapple check as a melee attack. If you succeed, you can literally pick up your foe (provided you can lift your foe's weight). Make a Strength check; if your result is at least 10, you toss your foe 5 feet. For every 5 points your Strength check result exceeds 10, you toss your foe another 5 feet, to a maximum of 25 feet." However, Conan's actions could just as easily be simulated by calling it all flavor text and conducting is as normal attacks. His first unarmed attack (non-lethal and/or a power attack) would likely down a low level opponent, and his next attack (possibly even as a cleave) would likely down another adjacent foe. It doesn't matter how it's described, the effect is the same (although I would allow someone to use a downed foe's body as an improvised two-handed weapon). |
| Iver Gearsham08-27-05, 03:14 AM | I like it. I wonder if throwing the victem on to a foe who is readied to recieve a charge from you could disarm the polearm welder and wound or kill the poor slob you through? |
| Cranus08-28-05, 04:44 PM | I know that the Conan RPG treated one of his 'push' attacks as a trip attack. |
| Johannixx08-29-05, 10:31 AM | For true Conan-esque d20 combat, pick up the Conan RPG from Mongoose. |
