Hi,
is there a magic weapon, that deals concussion damage, like the concussion rod from d20 modern ?

It is essentially a small gravitation generator, that activates on impact and deforms the target in addition to the rods damage. The damage is considers sonic in d20 modern, but there is no sound other than the rod hitting, so it differst from shrieking weapons.

Is there a weapon type, that deals 1d6 force damage in addition weapon damage, instead of an energy type ?

Thanks,
Heinrich

The Arms and Equipment Guide had a Forceful weapon enhancement that did 1d6 force damage and dispelled Force effects for +3. That's 3.0, though.

I think concussion damage is sonic damage.

concussion damage is pressure wave damage, or explosive/sonic/nonmagical force/(similar to falling) damage :P

A Concussion effect would deal Bludgeoning damage. Sonic Damage in D&D refers primarily to high-frequency noice that basically vibrates the target apart.

A conncussion effect is more of a giant invisible hammer that smashes the target flat. It's more like a physical blow, which is why an explosive blast sends things flying.

Magical concussion damage is usually force damage in D&D. All the concussion powers in the psionics system do force damage.

Since force damage is usually lower than energy damage in D&D, would you think that a +1 bonus enhancment could be allowed to do +1d6 force damage or should it deal just +1d4 ?

Depends. A weapon which deals force damage, in my opinion, should be ghost touch too. So I wouldn't make a forceful enhancement as anything less than +2.

A simple enhancement would be an "improved ghost touch" as a +2 enhancement. In addition to the ghost touch property, it would deal an additional 1d4 force damage to corporeal targets, and all damage would be force to incorporeal targets.

Just a thought.

Note: +1d4 physical damage is a +1 enhancement in XPH (psychokinetic I think). I would allow a sonic damage weapon to be +1d4, not +1d6, but force has additional properties and I wouldn't allow it as a +1 enhancement.
