I've been trying to figure out, how much HP damage does constitution loss deal? I've heard someplace that it's 1pt per level of the character per con mod lost, never below 1hp per level. Is this correct? Also, supposed a level 10 character has a max hp of 30, and has taken 25pts of damage - would enough con drain to drop the modifier by 1 be enough to take the person to -5hp, or would they still have 5hp afterward?

Con loss doesn't deal HP damage. It reduces your max HP. Subtle difference.

And yes, you lose all the hit points that Con gave you (or just lose, if it goes below 10). That's where the max HP change comes in; if your Con is 16, and you take 6 points of Con damage, you lose all the HP you gained every level from your Con bonus. Because you don't have a Con bonus any more.

1 pt per level per *2* points of con drained. Remember, it takes two points of con to alter your con bonus.

This reduces their total, the guy in your example is dying.

con dam drops your hp by one per HD or level you've got for every time the con becomes an odd number.

IE I had a 20 get hit for 3 points of con so now I'm at 17 I've just lost 2 per level, but if I had a 20 got hit for 4 and I'm now at 16 I've still only lost 2.

When ever your con goes down with the bounes it gives is when you loose hp, though neg levels always make you loose 5 wich can really suck if your a wiz/sor/psi...
