I was thinking of having an NPC with metal bits grafted on but the only available official option is the half-golem template which is a bit too powerful (and silly) for me. Plus i want to give my players the option of getting te same thing without wrecking their chars. then it hit me. Libris Mortis had undead grafts so why not Construct grafts? so ow bout we toss around a few ideas on wat some good grafts would be? you know, thier powers, stats, cost... things like that.

my first:
Basic Arm :- an arm made of metal and wood, usually connected at the shoulder. it grants the 'wearer' a +4 inherent bonus to Strength and acts both as a buckler and gauntlet. ie. it provides an AC +1 and a natural attack of 1d4 lethal (for medium humanoids).

how expensinve do you think this should be?

any ideas of your own?

Well, It depends on if you want it to be a magic item with little to no harm (asside from the fact that the PC couldn't remove it) I like the Idea of having Grafts and what not to show a more wartorn world in my campaign. But I believe in the balencing effect of grafts, I think that with every bounus should incure a pentaly since grafts can heighten your needs at the cost of another atribute, In the arm case, maybe dex. or even con. So perhaps your grafts could give you bounus to skills too, like climb or what not. Now that arm seems to incure alot of bonuses so price wise I would have to say somewhere in the vincinity of 3000gp.

strange it turns out so expensive. i based it on the undead graft from Libris Mortis - enervating arm - +4 Str and level drain twice per day. only costs 40000.

anyone know how they worked out the pricing for those?

anyway, some more :-

Ablative plating - thin , flexible plates of metal attached to the characters skin. This grants a DR 2/Adamantine. this does not stack with DR granted by other effects such as spells, items or class abilities.

Leaping Legs - Legs mde of metal and wood. These must be nstalled as a pair. It grants the Jump spell at will and boost the characters land speed by 10. a Medium sized creature kicking with these legs does 1d4 lethal damage and is considered armed (legged? :P ) when he does so.

razor hands: hands made of metal and wood. these hands are covered in spikes and the fingers are tipped with claws. striking with these hands does damage as a spiked gauntlet except the damage is slashing or piercing as the characters chooses.
